Hello, Wildcats!
April is National Poetry Month, and I asked students to write different kinds of poems, such as shape poems, acrostics, and found poems. I received a picture of this excellent acrostic poem from Parker in 3rd grade. I love it because he wrote about something he loves -- baseball. That's a cool thing about poetry: it can be on any topic or idea in the world!
I also love that Parker went the extra mile (extra inning?!) and made his poem into a great-looking piece of art. Way to go, Parker! Thanks for sharing your poem!
I hope you all enjoy Parker's poem...and send your creations my way, so we can keep sharing this spring! :)
